The Most Rev. Dr. Francis Kallarackal served as the Metropolitan Archbishop of Verapoly, a prominent figure in the Roman Catholic Church in India. After being ordained as a priest in 1968, he rose through the ranks of the Church, becoming the first bishop of the Diocese of Kottapuram in 1987.
